Research
Research can identify possibilities.
ExitPoints was founded in 2003 with a focus on developing trading systems based on research, market analysis, technology, and disciplined risk management.
Over time, both markets and technology have changed.
So has ExitPoints.
What began with futures-system research has developed into a broader platform encompassing futures, options, equities, automation, education, and systematic investment methodologies.
Our objective is not to build the company around one trading system.
It is to continue researching and developing disciplined strategies capable of evolving alongside markets, technology, and investment opportunities.
We believe trading decisions benefit from structure.
Research can identify possibilities.
Technology can automate execution.
Rules can create consistency.
But risk remains part of every market.
Our work brings those elements together into systematic strategies designed to make the decision-making process more disciplined and repeatable.
“Create the rules before emotion enters the decision.”
Developer & Market Researcher
David Register's career brings together physics, statistics, artificial intelligence, market analysis, and trading-system development.
He studied mathematics and physics at North Carolina State University before completing graduate work in physics and statistics.
David later worked with Lockheed at the Johnson Space Center, where his responsibilities included scientific computing, management information systems, and work involving expert systems—an early branch of artificial intelligence.
His interest in market timing eventually brought these disciplines together.
During his career, David worked on efforts to translate Elliott Wave analysis into programmable logic and continued developing expertise in market forecasting, statistics, futures analysis, and systematic trading.
That experience became an important foundation for the trading systems developed at ExitPoints.
Today, his work centers on market research, strategy methodology, and the continued development of systematic approaches to futures, options, and equities.

In 2003, Thomas co-founded ExitPoints with David Register.
His role has focused on combining trading research with the technology and operational infrastructure needed to turn trading ideas into practical systems.

Building the infrastructure that turns research into practical systems.
ExitPoints continues to combine market research, technology, automation, and systematic decision-making across a growing family of strategies.
Risk Disclosure:
Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing ones’ financial security or life style. Only risk capital should be used for trading and onlythose with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.
Hypothetical Performance Disclosure:
Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. no representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown; in fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk of actual trading. for example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results and all which can adversely affect trading results.
